How this ranking is calculated
Unlike the All-Time table, this page does not add up total points — that would just reward
whoever has attended the most events. Instead we measure how well each player performed
per game, and adjust for how strong their opponents were:
- Your rate. Every game scores a win = 1, a draw = ½, a loss = 0. We average that over
all the games you've ever played, across every edition. (So a 9-3 record and a 18-6 record give the
same rate — playing more doesn't help or hurt.)
- Strength of Schedule (SoS). We take every opponent you faced and average their
rate. 0.50 means you faced a roughly average field; higher means you faced tougher players.
- Adjustment. Your rate is nudged up or down by how far your SoS sits above or below 0.50 —
so beating strong players is worth more than padding wins against weak ones.
- Rating. That adjusted rate is scaled to a familiar number centred on
1000 (above 1000 = above-average performance).
Ties break on Win%, then dice kills. Players with fewer than 2 editions and
under 12 games haven't played enough to rank reliably, so they're listed separately as
provisional. Note: individual matchups for 2024/2025 were reconstructed during import (correct
opposing team, approximate exact opponent), so SoS for those years is an estimate; 2022 and 2026 use the
real pairings.
